a scene from the sonic rainboom episode. made of only paper and outlined by colored pencils. layered so that it has a 3-D effect. hand crafted completely. not the best picture but my phone camera isn't amazing quality. ponies belong to hasbro. gonna sell this piece at some point

What is the easiest way to go about this? I had the idea to do something like this for my boyfriend's birthday, and I have no idea where/how to start! It'll be with humans, but this is the type of layering I'll need to do...

well I would not recommend humans on your first try, I myself still am not good with them xD it really is all about layering. You just have to cut out a bunch of pieces & glue them together. I'd work on a big version of what you wanna do before you go small.
